Victoria Bridge Club has several classes of membership, although the great majority of members are in the Ordinary category. The full list of classes is:

Ordinary Members (full club membership)

Associate Members – persons resident anywhere in New Zealand who are entitled to play not more than ten club sessions at the club in any calendar year.

Country Members whose usual place of residence is north of either McKay’s crossing or of Upper Hutt.

Student Members – under the age of 26 undertaking a full course of tertiary study

Life Members elected as such in recognition of distinguished and valuable service.

Honorary Members who have attained the age of 80 years and been members of the Club for at least 25 years.

Temporary Members who are temporarily resident in Wellington.

Current annual subscription rates are:
Ordinary – $130.00 (includes GST & NZ Bridge levy $23.00)
Associate – $48.50 (includes GST)
Country – $48.50 (includes GST)
Student – $20.00 + GST
Life – nil
Honorary – nil

Temporary – at the committee’s discretion

Current entrance fees are nil.

Applicants for Ordinary, Associate and Country membership must be nominated by one member and seconded by another. After the nomination has been posted on the Club’s notice board for 14 days the application is considered by the committee, which (a) has the power from time to time to limit the number of any class of member and (b) may accept, defer or reject any nomination.

There is a table money fee of $7 per player per session (increased from 1/9/11). For convenience, ten table money vouchers can be purchased for $70 from the Club Manager or the Director.
