Victoria Players’ success in 2008 NZ Bridge Congress

  Some of the successful players from Victoria Bridge Blub at the September 2008 Congress in Hamilton were:

   Members in the winning Wellington Senior Interprovincial team - Tony Thomson,  John Cormack and Mike Gibson

Members of the winning Interprovincial Youth Team - Liam Milne and  Peter Vanderpoel

The inaugural Dougal McLean trophy was won by Wellington Bridge Club,  and was presented by his widow Lynne and son Callum.

Qualifiers in the New Zealand Pairs final included Rod Dravitzki and Sandy Brown, Murray Jurgeleit and John Luoni,  Robyn Freeman- Greene and partner,  and Liam Milne & partner

  The Mixed Sex Pairs was won by Sandy Brown and Rod Dravitzki

Currently playing for the NZ seniors team in Beijing are Mike Gibson,  Janet Woodfield, Robyn Freeman-Greene,  and Liam Milne is playing in the NZ youth team.
